Welcome to Vital Companion. Your privacy is not just a policy—it is the foundation of our app. This Privacy Policy is designed for users to explain how we handle your information with absolute transparency and trust.

Critical Privacy Commitment: Vital Companion does not collect, store, or sell your personal health data on our servers. All health information you input or sync stays exclusively on your own device. We believe your health data belongs to you, and you alone.

• All health data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your health information on any server.

• AI processing is performed entirely on-device using Apple's FoundationModels framework. Your data never leaves your phone.

• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

• Your name and profile information are stored locally on your device only.

• Medication data, journal entries, and health records are stored in your device's local database and are never shared.

• If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

• Apple may collect anonymous App Store and subscription data per its own privacy policy.

Your Privacy Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server, many traditional data-rights obligations do not apply. We still affirm the following rights:

• Right to Access: All your data is already on your device and accessible to you at all times.

• Right to Delete: You can delete all data by deleting the app. Individual entries can also be deleted within the app.

• Right to Portability: Use the Health Export feature to generate a shareable report of your data.

• Right to Opt Out of Sale: We never sell, share, or transmit your personal data to any third party.

• Right to Non-Discrimination: Your access to app features is not affected by exercising any privacy rights.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

Vital Companion does not sell or share personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. No personal information is collected, stored on external servers, or disclosed to third parties.

European Residents (GDPR)

All data processing occurs locally on your device. No personal data is transmitted to or stored on external servers. The legal basis for local processing is your explicit consent when you agree to these terms and grant HealthKit access.
